Over to you Commander. ——————————————————————————————— This was originally a map submission for the community map pack for DG1, first converted for DG2 back in August 2014 when the game was still in Beta. Its taken a lot of time and a lot of changes to get it to where it is today. I hope that you enjoy playing it. ——————————————————————————————— The save and resume feature will probably not work for the later stages of the longer missions. If you need to save your progress then I would suggest backspacing to maybe 10 waves earlier and hopefully that will work. ——————————————————————————————— V1.1 Makes a few changes to the Story script and the balance, particularly of the Competitive Hard Mission. ——————————————————————————————— Scoreboost is not available for any mission. The Command Shuttle should have three options for every mission. The Story & Super Grinder missions are included in both Competitive and Open form, plus there is a guest mission from Razcle that is available for Open play only. Competitive missions are intended to be played on Competitive Hard difficulty and Open missions are intended to be played on Open Elite. You can play them on other difficulty levels but the gold medal scores are aimed at those difficulties. The Competitive missions have all been beaten on Competitive Hard. The Open missions have been beaten on Open Elite. When I say beaten, I mean gold medal scores with no cores lost. Thanks must go to OCD & Razcle who have helped with testing the Open missions on this map. All errors, bugs and balance issues are of course my responsibility not theirs. ——————————————————————————————— Competitive Elite mode. If you find the missions to be too easy on Competitive Elite, or find any other issues, then please post a comment below giving as much information as possible whilst avoiding spoilers. I am sorry that some players are finding the Competitive Hard missions difficult.
I have posted some screenshots for possible paths on my Steam profile.
They are just basic block tower builds to indicate possible routes, obviously you would want to add your own towers and extend the routes as you see fit. They are marked as possible spoilers, so you will need to click on them to view them properly. There are five images, which are four possible paths and another location I consider important to build in. I have not played some of these routes for some months so they may not work, but at least one of these definitely works.

You created the map to be dificult so why being sorry. It was your goal after all.
The map is designed for 2-3 people that have hours to play or understand what to build and why, I dont have time and I don’t have the skills to beat it. Screenshots won’t help, what would be helpfull is a how to video with explanations.
I play to have fun not to be frustrated and the do it again and again and again is not my cup of tea and I don’t have the time.
After deleting maps my game is working properly again and I tried older maps, I dont’ get gold on some maps and I don’t see how I can the way I’m playing, but people got gold on those maps.
It is the same thing, there are mechanics in this game I still dont understand and without proper explanations from someone those maps are not interesting and fun to play from my point of view.
On all the recent maps I build almost the same setup to beat it and get gold, I spend all my money and I have to use the orbital lazer on some waves. Probably that there are some people that can beat it with a lazer, a concussion and 2 meteor but not me.
So don’t be sorry, your maps are hard end of the line.
And dont get annoyed if someone give you 2 stars (not me) but think that maybe for some it is too hard and some explanations, not just a screenschot with boost towers, would be good.

I agree you should play to have fun. Otherwise whats the point?
I too dislike playing maps repeatedly, although there will be a little bit of that on any map as you learn how it plays. Having said that, by definition testing a map that is going to be released requires a lot of testing. I make a commitment when I release a map that the map is beatable at the stated difficulty levels and conditions. To ensure that that is the case I play the missions repeatedly adjusting the map or the script as I go, until I can reliably beat the map. This can take a long time especially for a longer script. The conditions I set myself should (hopefully) mean that a player playing the map should find it a little easier than I did. Obviously it doesnt always work out like that, but that is the intention.
I cannot give you any advice on other peoples maps, you would need to ask the map creator or other players.
As for a video walkthrough of my maps, I suppose that would be possible, but I suspect that it would be relatively time consuming and of use to very few people. I would also be unlikely to provide an audio explanation as I do not have a good speaking voice. I will post a link when I have a video.
As for people who give 2 star reviews, if thats what people think of the map then that is the score they should give, I only have a problem with that when they dont give a reason. If there is no explanation of what they had a problem with then i cannot explain/fix the issue or try and avoid it in the next map.
As far as I can tell your English is excellent.
I could not succeed on Comp Hard, but i don’t like playing Comp.
The Open missions were great! They took effort and more than one attempt to complete but were good fun!

On Story or Super Grinder?
The way I test the maps is to play them on competitive hard, adjusting the balance until I can complete the map whilst still finding it difficult. (For the Open Elite missions I then hand it over to OCD/Ace and rely on his judgement for the balance of those missions.) I do not use any of the command shuttle options and there are usually a few resources left over at the end of the mission. These things should provide a little bit of leeway to allow alternative builds provided valid different routes exist.
It is difficult and time consuming, (for me at least,) to make a map that is both difficult and allows for multiple builds. Generally the more challenging a map is, the fewer viable builds there will be.
Having said that, if the map is too difficult to beat then something has clearly gone wrong and i would need to make a change to the balance to try and correct it.
A common issue is that the more someone plays the map, even (especially) while testing, the more familiar they will get with it and the easier the tester will find even hard maps.
This doesnt sound like that kind of problem though. It sounds more like either a bug has occurred during the final playthrough that made the map temporarily easier than it really was, (uncommon, but bugged difficulty has happened once or twice in the past,) or a change to the balance made during work on the super grinder affected the story mission in some way. (I normally manage to avoid this kind of thing, but it is the most likely explanation if the problem is in the Story mission.)
All I can do is apologise and say Ive been testing the Story Comp Hard mission since I read your post earlier and I would agree that it does seem harder than intended at the moment. I need to test it a little more and then check the Super Grinder as well, and then I will make a suitable change and release an updated version of the map, hopefully within the next 24 hours or so.
New version of the map uploaded. The Story Competitive mission is now definitely completable in Competitive Hard mode with no cores lost, no aliens escaping and no command shuttle options used.

On my side it seems impossible, too much ennemies that are too hard to kill or too few ressources to kill them.
At a certain point there are a bunch of disablers and I’m out watherver I try it fails.

The probably only solution in competitiv hard is: try again and try again. 😉

Don’t get upset, but this is the most stupid answer you coud give and I’m not surprised as it is the answer you get when asking for help most of the time here. :O)
I appreciate that you may be a bit frustrated, but rather than being rude to someone who was willing to help perhaps you could explain in more detail what problems you are having. It would make it a lot easier to give you more specific advice.
