OCD, thanks for the advice. I followed the procedure step by step and started Steam. The message “cloud synchronization conflict” is displayed: if I select “FILE CLOUD” the files on the pc are updated with those downloaded from the cloud, if instead you select “LOCAL FILE” the files on the PC remain zeroed. In both cases, however, the problem remains: the scores obtained (gold or silver) in the various levels (especially with RAZCLE maps) do not appear then in the rankings of the game. Do you have any other suggestions to solve the problem? Thanks in advance to you OCD or anyone who can help me.
With the scores not showing…. all the times it happened to me the scores would not show you have to play the mode again to save the scores.
I also had to play campaign again if I wanted to be on the leaderboard as they were all lost.
After four times it happening I only played through Story and Super Grinder on the campaign and no other scores are showing until I play those modes again.
The main thing you dont want is to lose your weapon upgrades as they take forever to replace.
If you want to do the grind and you reset DG2 the fastest way is to play map 2 Threshold Fully Loaded and do it all in fast forward. Dont even worry about keeping cores as you want to just get weapon upgrades. Once you stop getting upgrades for a fair while move onto Surface Tension and the last rare upgrades will drop. All up it takes about 12 hours for most weapons to be level 5 upgraded.
Our problem has also happened to allot of my friends and there isn’t a simple solution yet.

Good evening to all of you, you want to ask yourself a question: how come you reach the silver or gold level, my score does not appear in the rankings of the game. If someone knows how to solve the problem it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and sorry for my not perfect english, Greetings from Italy

I have had that happen to me at least 4 times and the only proper fix was I have to delete all my game data and start all over again.
The big issue with what has happened to you is to start again you lose all your weapon upgrades so make sure you save a copy of your game file C:\Steam\userdata\your id\221540\remote\save\*
I did have a fix but I don’t know if it will still work but you can try it (save your game file first)
Steam sync fix NEW
***Make a copy of your game folder 221540 first and put it in another folder***
C:\Steam\userdata\your id\221540\remote\stats\*
1) Exit Steam and make sure that Steam Cloud is enabled.
2) Alter the content of all files in Steam\userdata\SteamID\AppID\remote. The objective is that every file becomes different from the ones stored in the Cloud. You can’t simply delete the files otherwise Steam will download them from the Cloud. You can corrupt them by deleting all their content. 0 bytes files will indeed do the trick. To do this (thanks Kevin92 for the tip):
– Hold Shift and right-click on your remote folder.
– Click on “Open command window here”.
– Enter powershell.
– Enter clc C:\Steam\userdata\SteamID\AppID\remote\* (clc + absolute path of your remote folder + * to affect all the files).
– Done: all your files are now 0 bytes!
Warning: be sure of the path your enter to not delete accidentally system or user files! There are not any confirmation when you press Enter!
3) Delete remotecache.vdf in Steam\userdata\SteamID\AppID.
4) Start Steam and “Sync conflict” should appear in your game status.
Put your original 221540 folder back
Start game and all should be fixed
* BTW HPE won’t help you as I asked for nearly 2 years

Thanks for another great map !
Sadly I now have the problem that all maps crash usually when I get close to the end. In fact the last 4 or 5 games ended that way and it kills the fun of playing.
If anybody has a tip about how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated.

I have been playing DG2free custom maps for 4 years and have 2714hrs in play time and about 1.5years ago I was experiencing the same thing (even on low graphics settings)….I installed a new graphics card, new power supply, a large fan to keep it all cool. Never had one issue since and on the highest graphics setting.
I also changed over to windows 10 but I don’t think that was the issue.
I blow out my pc every 6 months so there is no dust and heat build up on any components.
Basically my original graphics card,power supply and fan were working but had their day and couldn’t cope with the huge amount of graphics happening towards the end of a custom map.
Good news for those , like me, who struggles with the game crashing all the time !
I removed all the custom maps and only installed a few and it seems that the crashes have disappeared.
This might be because some buggy map created the problems or that I had too many. I have downloaded all maps I could find so I have a few
I also moved the game files in steam from my D drive back to the C drive but I don’t think this fixed anything since I’ve tried it before.
I have now played three big maps without a crash and before I usually couldn’t even start a map so this is a big difference.
I have seen before that a buggy map might cause DG2 to crash so perhaps this was the reason. I plan at some time to try to find out which by installing half the maps and see if the bug appears and so on.
So if you have problems with the game crashing, try to rename the C:\Users\\Documents\DG2 folder and create a new. Then just install f.ex. new maps that you want to try and perhaps some favourites and see if this helps.
I will copy this message to the comment section of some more maps so hopefully everybody will see it. If this works for anybody else (or not) please leave a message here.

– you caught me .. 🙂 … good eye, the waves are similar ….. i have scripts based on the # of spawn points and exits, and have been making small changes to them only – so they fit the maps, – i will be less lazy in the future and alter the scripts more
– in the mean time try a map with a different layout – out of the frying pan, mainframe, big MAC ……..
i have enjoyed the sparring that you and OCD have been engaged in 🙂

Somehow I have the feeling that the waves here are very similar (or even the same?) to other maps.
